Our AD, Allison Slysz, shared all the wonderful contributors to this project. I echo that we wanted to give a HUGE thanks on behalf of Smith Academy and the athletics department to the individuals, businesses, organizations, etc. that made it possible to construct the dugouts on our varsity baseball field this spring. Thanks to the Booster Club for submitting the proposal to...

Lead Findings in Water at Both Schools
To the Students, Families, and Staff of Hatfield Public Schools: During recent voluntary lead and copper sampling, some water taps/fixtures at our schools had detections for lead. In accordance with the USEPA’s Revised 3Ts Manual, MassDEP’s Lead Contamination Control Act (LCCA) program recommends that schools and early education and care programs evaluate...
HOAX SWATTING CALLS

I want to wish all of families the happiest of holidays and a Happy New Year!
Remember, our students and staff are coming back on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023.
Sincerely,
Mr. Wood

Winter Weather Decisions
It feels to early to be writing this email, but looking at the forecast, and the thermometer tell me it's very timely. Winter weather advisories are popping up on my email and my twitter feed so I want you to be aware how I make a decision for a school cancelation or late start and usually when I make it. Usually, I start around 4:00 a.m. with a look at the...
