Smith Academy to Host Mental Health First Aid Training

On March 25, 2017, Smith Academy will be hosting a day long Mental Health First Aid Training. Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches individuals how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The training helps someone to identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. The training is is being offered through the Hatfield Mental Health Awareness Committee and is open to anyone 18 years or older. The Mental Health First Aid course is being taught by staff from Clinical and Support Options and, thanks to a grant, is available at no charge. Lunch is also included. Anyone interested in attending this training should contact Smith Academy at 247-5641. Space is limited.

Sincerely,

John F. Robert
