"The Smith Sessions" An evening dedicated to keeping our school community informed scheduled for March 29

Dear Hatfield Community,

     On March 29, Smith Academy is proud to be hosting "The Smith Sessions"  A series of workshops featuring experts addressing various topics ranging from issues involving social media to the college application process.  The evening will start with panelist  providing a general overview of their particular area of expertise followed by breakout workshops focusing on particular topics.

Workshop topics will include:

  • "Cybersensibility", presented by Laurie Loisel from the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
  • "The Common Application and the Path to College Enrollment",  presented by Miguep Santiago from Hamphire College.
  • "When Worrying Takes Over: Managing Anxiety in Teens", presented by Dr. Sharon Saline.
  • 'Trends in Teen E-Cigarette and Marijuana Use" , presented by Melinda Calianos from the Hampshire Council of Governments.
  • "Addiction Services", presented by Jordana Willers from the Department Public Health. 

    The evening is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm with a welcome by Dr. Berrios followed by a panelist overview from 6:10 pm to 7:00 pm and workshop from 7 pm to 8 pm. 

    The event is being organized by Smith Academy Principal, Dr. Andrew Berrios and The Smith Academy School Council.
