Hatfield Public School District to Present "Resilience"

Dear Hatfield School Community, 
 
On May 2, 2018, The Hatfield Public Schools, in conjunction with Hatfield HEADS Up and the Northwest District Attorney's Office, is proud to announce that it will screening the film  "Resilience". A documentary about adverse childhood experiences (divorce, substance misuse, mental illness, domestic violence, and others) - their effects on health across a lifetime- and the role everyone in a community can play in reversing them.  "Resilience" chronicles a new movement among pediatricians, therapist, educators and communities, who are using cutting-edge brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction, and disease.   
 
The screening of the documentary will be followed by a presentation and community discussion led by Kristal Cleaver, LICSW, Director of  Community Education for Clinical Support Options. Child care can be arranged by calling (413) 247-5641. The presentation will take place at the Hatfield Elementary School, 33 Main Street from 6 pm to 8 pm.
