Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan is Updated

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and Staff:

The Hatfield Public School District has recently updated the "Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan". The Plan is designed to provide parents, students, and staff with information on what bullying is, how someone would report suspected bullying, the process involved in the investigation of reported bullying, the resources and services that are available, programs in the schools to help prevent bullying, and information on the anti-bullying curriculum that is implemented within the schools. The plan also includes revised incident reporting forms. Both the plan and the form are now available on the Hatfield Public Schools Website Home Page.  As part of the review process, surveys were completed by students, staff, and parents. School administrators, in conjuction with, the counselors from both schools worked to revise the current "Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan". The plan was then shared with the School Committee on May 8, 2018. The plan will also be presented to the Health and Wellness Committee on May 15, 2018. If you have any questions about the plan, please contact either Casey Pescitelli at Smith Academy or Molly Cole at the Hatfield Elementary School.

Sincerely,

John F. Robert
