Congratulations to the Smith Academy Class of 2018

Dear Members of the Hatfield Community,

On June 1, 2018, as family, friends, teachers, and community members looked on, members of the Smith Academy Class of 2018 walked across the stage in the Sherry A Webb Gymnasium to receive their diplomas from Mrs. Catherine Englehardt, Chairperson for the Hatfield School Committee.  The evening was filled with laughter and tears as the graduates said farewell to their Smith Academy teachers and classmates. David Keir, retiring Health and PE Teacher, addressed the class encouraging them to remember to take time to have some fun as they go out into the world.  This year's Class Valedictorian, Hannah Rickert, also addressed her classmates urging them to  seize the moment in everything they do. Miya Walto, Salutatorian, and Annette Neves, Third Honors, both offered advice and inspiring words of their own. The graduation ceremony culminated with the entire graduating class and alumni  singing the school's song.

The following are the twenty-nine members of the Smith Academy Class of 2018:

Melissa Barcomb, Troy Benedict, Matthew Bouley, Christopher Darragh, Isabell Duseau, Connor Fill, Xander Finch, Cameron Haley, Emma Hobert, Shannen Hogan, Jusine Kim, Drew Lambert, Nicholas Leary, Emily Marshall, Annette Neves, Finnegan O'Connor, Justin Petcen, Liam Pitrat, Hannah Rickert, Stephanie Schuster, Samantha Sevigne, Evan Simmons, Vanessa Skawski, Gabrielle Tisdale, Nicolas Walker, Miya Walto, Zane Wendolowski, Mary-Catherine Whalen, and Hunter Zygmont.
