Updates for Covid 19 / Flu Vaccine Management

Oct. 8, 2020.  Many parents and guardians have been completing the Daily Symptom Report Form when their student is coming to the school building on a regular basis:  thank you!  We ask that all parents please take the time to check that their children do not have any of the symptoms listed, answer the 3 questions, and submit this form to us each morning.  If you are unable to access the form, please email jhobbie@hatfieldps.net.

Also, thank you all parents/guardians who are updating your building nurse with any questions about Covid-like symptoms or potential exposures:

*  If your children have symptoms:  please keep them home for remote learning, contact your MD, and notify your building nurse

*  If you develop any of these symptoms, please contact your MD.  If your MD wants you to be tested for Covid, please keep your children home pending your own results, and notify your child's building nurse.

*  If you learn that you have been exposed to someone else who has tested positive and need to either get tested or quarantine, please keep your children home pending your own results, and notify your child's building nurse.

Finally, please remember to Fight the Flu!  The American Academy of Pediatrics (Article) is urging that all children get the Influenza ('flu) vaccine by the end of October.   Keep in mind the following:

*  If your child is already vaccinated:  please submit documentation from your physician, clinic, or pharmacist to your building nurse.

If participating in the Oct. 19 Hatfield Public Schools Flu Vaccination Clinic (for students ages 9+ with a parent present), please note that space is now limited.  If interested, please email jhobbie@hatfieldps.net.

Northampton Area Pediatrics continues to offer flu vaccination clinics and is now offering a special NAP Parking Lot Clinic at their Amherst location on Oct. 18.
