HPS Revised Travel Protocols

March 29, 2021.  Please note the following revised travel protocols for HPS:

  • Domestic travellers who are fully vaccinated (i.e. who have received two doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines OR who have received a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, 14 days or more prior to travelling) and who do not have symptoms are now exempt from the HPS quarantine and test protocol.

  • Due to the incubation period (5+ days) for test validity, out-of-state travelers who have not been vaccinated need to quarantine and test 5 days after return if they or a member of their household has travelled.  Unvaccinated student travellers will need to work remotely while awaiting test results.  Unvaccinated staff travellers will need to use sick time while quarantining.  Test results need to be sent to the building nurse upon completion.

  • Domestic travel outside of MA for less than 24 hours does not apply.

  • Check the MA Find a Covid 19 Test Site for a test location near you.

  • International travellers are asked to adhere to the above-mentioned HPS Travel protocols and the following when traveling:  US Dept. of State Travel Advisories, CDC International Travel Guidance, and MA International Travel Advisory.  There are no exemptions for vaccinated individuals when traveling internationally.

  • Continue to complete and use the HPS Symptom Report Form as a health & safety planning guide

  • Contact your Building Nurse for further information:
