September 2, 2022 Family Newsletter

Dear Families,

Happy New Year!  Our school year has officially begun, and it’s been exciting to see all our returning students and meeting all our new students!  It is my plan to share information with you every Friday, so be looking for this weekly email.

  • Thank you to those who alerted us that there’s an issue with the k12 alerts log in.  The company was contacted and provided an updated link.  Once on, follow the steps on the paper.   Here is the updated address:  https://wwwk12alerts.com/portal/hatfieldpublicschools/

  • I appreciate all the grace shared with us after yesterday’s bus delay.  There were many more unexpected additional students in the afternoon than we had accounted for.  If you live more than 1.5 miles away and would like to have your child ride our bus, please call Michelle Forget at 247-5010.

  • Mark your calendars, Thursday, September 22 from 5:00-6:00 pm will be our Open House.  I look forward to greeting families, but I do not intend to conduct a presentation because I know you really want to see the classrooms, so feel free to arrive anytime between 5:00-6:00. Please plan on entering the side doors near the gymnasium.

  • Here’s an update from Nurse Jean, http://hatfieldps.net/node/2022

  • We had a large number of our summer Parks and Recreation friends help us paint the HES demolition derby bus in August.  It will be racing on Monday at 2:00 pm in the Grandstand.  Come cheer our bus on!!

  • There is no school on Monday, September 5, in observance of Labor Day.

  • Tuesday, September 6, our BOKs morning program and our After school program begin.

Have a great long weekend!

Warmly,

Melissa Pitrat
