9/9/22 Principal Newsletter

Dear Families,

  • We welcomed all our preschool and kindergarten students to school this week!

  • Thank you to all the families who came out to support our HES bus in the 3 County Fair!  It was unfortunate that we were the first eliminated, but there’s always next year!!

  • Bus one has a longer route from Smith Academy, so it arrives a few minutes after 2:40.  On Monday, September 1th,, there will be an assembly for all bus riders to review the rules and expectations that are found in our handbook.  I’ve invited the bus drivers to join me so everyone is aware of how to be safe on our buses.

  • A friendly reminder to stay in your cars at morning drop off at the back of the school.   If your child requires additional time or needs assistance in getting out of your vehicle, please pull into a parking spot.

  • There is a lot of paperwork that has gone home, including a free and reduced lunch form going out today.  Please return these documents as soon as you can, and if you’ve misplaced them, let your classroom teacher know and we’ll resend them to you.

  • Mark your calendars, Thursday, September 22 from 5:00-6:00 pm will be our Open House. Please plan on entering the side doors near the gymnasium.

Have a great weekend!

Warmly,

Melissa Pitrat
