9/23/22 Weekly Newsletter

Dear Families,

  • Thank you to all the families/caregivers who came out to our Open House last night!  It was so great to see all the positive energy as our students showed you their classrooms!

  • Thank you to all who supported our book fair!  Tonight during the movie, is the last day to purchase books.  We’ll have another book fair in April.

  • Today, I hosted our September All School Meeting which we will be bringing back monthly!  I explained the role of an audience member and we practiced applauding, being appropriate listeners, and how to quickly quiet after a fun activity or presentation.  All our meetings are on the website calendar.  Mark you calendars for October’s meeting which is Friday, October 28 from 1:45-2:15 in the cafeteria/gymnasium.  Ms. Labombard’s class is doing the greeting, Mr. Higuera’s class will be sharing or doing an activity, Ms.Bosman’s class will be singing a birthday song to celebrate all our October birthdays, and Ms. Millette’s class will be the MC (master of ceremonies).  Future meetings will rotate both the day of the week as well as time of day to accommodate schedules.

  • Our PTA is hosting Lightyear tonight!  Doors open at 5:30pm (by the preschool playground and gymnasium)  Cost is $5 per person or $20 for a family.  There will be popcorn, chips and drinks for $1 each.  Bring a blanket, wear your pajamas, bring a picnic dinner, and I hope to see you here!  October’s movie night is 10/21 hosted by 6th grade.

  • Nurse Jean is sending one iHealth CovidTest kit home in each student's backpack today.

  • Our PTA will be hosting a gear store in November to purchase Hatfield swag, including umbrellas!

Have a great weekend!

Warmly,

Melissa Pitrat
