9/30/22 Principal Newsletter

Dear Families,

• Thank you to all the families/caregivers who came out to our first movie Lightyear last Friday!  It was so great to see so many students with blankets, sleeping bags, or sporting event chairs enjoying the movie!  Our next movie night is Friday, October 21st.

• Thank you to all who supported our book fair!  This money is used to support future field trips!

• Here is Hatfield Public Schools SEPAC flyer.

• Save the date, our next PTA meeting is October 11th in our conference room starting at 6:30 pm.

• Morning arrival for students who; walk, bike or are dropped off at the Hatfield Public Library should be for 8:05 at which point our doors open for students.  There is no supervision prior to this time.   Your support is greatly appreciated. 

• Come join the fun at Smith Academy’s annual Homecoming event!  

• From Nurse Jean:

  •  There have been a few positive Covid cases reported since we started school. To protect your child, their classmates, our staff and your family, we encourage following the now well-known public health measures: 

    •  age 12+ should consider getting the new bivalent booster if eligible and able to do so.

    •  mask up when in more crowded venues; handwashing; periodic monitoring with home tests; staying home & testing when symptomatic; etc.

    • If you’ve been exposed the current recommendations (mask up 10 days / test day 6 - sooner if symptoms develop)

    • Thank you families for keeping us and any who may have been exposed informed.
