Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the holidays with your family and friends! I wish you all health and prosperity in 2023!

Our student council worked at cultivating all classroom rules and collaboratively combined like rules to come up with five school rules. I’d like to share their hard work with you and introduce our new Hatfield Elementary School Rules:

Take care of our school environment
-
Be an active listener
-
Be responsible with your work
-
Be a good friend
-
Take care of your body and others.

We introduced these at December’s All School Meeting and are currently making posters to hang around the school. Next we’ll begin working on procedures for the cafeteria, hallway, and recess.

Save the date for our next All School meeting which will be Wednesday, January 26th from 9:30-10:00.

A friendly reminder that if there is snow on the ground, students with sneakers/shoes will remain on the blacktop only. Students with boots, but no snow pants will be allowed to only walk on the snow. Students with snow pants and boots will be allowed to play in the snow.

Friday, January 13th is a half day with an 11:55 dismissal. Our school spirit day will be Tye Dye Friday! Students and staff can wear shirts, pants, sneakers, sweatshirts, etc. that are tye dyed. Like all spirit days, these are voluntary.

There is no school on Monday, January 16th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
